Northern Arizona Roundup: Dorados earn 42-7 road win over Bradshaw Mountain

PRESCOTT VALLEY — Kayden Luke ran for two touchdowns, Sean Young and Joe Alba each had a score and Canyon del Oro had little push back from Bradshaw Mountain in a 42-7 win Friday night.

The Dorados (2-0, 0-0 4A Kino) put pressure on the Bradshaw Mountain offense all night, recording eight sacks in the win.

The Bears (1-1, 0-0 4A Grand Canyon) were coming off a 24-14 win over Snowflake in Week 2.

Next up, Bradshaw Mountain is scheduled to travel to Moon Valley in Week 4 action Friday, Sept. 8. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Canyon del Oro will face Desert View at 7 p.m.

ESTRELLA FOOTHILLS 16, MINGUS 0

COTTONWOOD — Hone Wray and Kade Carroll each ran for a score and Estrella Foothills shut out Mingus 16-0 on Friday night.

Wray completed 6 of 16 passes for 61 yards, but his rushing score helped the Wolves (1-1, 0-0 4A Copper Sky) secure the road victory.

Mingus (0-2, 0-0 4A Grand Canyon) heads to the White Mountains in Week 4 action, facing Blue Ridge on Friday, Sept. 8. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Estrella Foothills will face Arizona College Prep.

LEE WILLIAMS 34, SIERRA LINDA 7

PHOENIX — Kruz Yocum had 68 yards rushing, scored a touchdown and Lee Williams put up 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter for a 34-7 win on the road over Sierra Linda on Friday night.

Quarterback Noah Petrauschke completed 7 of 19 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown. He also ran nine times for 64 yards and a score for the Volunteers (2-0, 0-0 4A Grand Canyon), which had 180 yards on the ground in the win.

Kevin Tortolero had 21 carries for 130 yards in the loss for Sierra Linda (1-1, 0-0 4A Southwest).

The Bulldogs head to ALA-Ironwood in their first road test of the season Friday, Sept. 8. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Lee Williams, which has the only undefeated record in the Grand Canyon region, heads back to Kingman for their first home contest of the season as they host Wickenburg at 7 p.m.
